hello 2019!

The holidays are behind us, and after a much-needed winter break filled with carefree days, special treats, and lots of fun - we are thinking our special families are ready for a little structure again. : )

We’ve all welcomed a fresh new page on our calendars, “January”! A fresh start, new goals, new hopes and new plans and projects await!

In Chicago, January means the hustle and bustle are over and we brace ourselves for very chilly days. The sun is shining, there might be snow, and at times the outdoors look inviting - however, our outdoor play is usually brief. We find ourselves ready for ideas for new projects for us and our little ones.

The Sonnets Academy teaching team asked our parents, “what are you doing this month at home? How is your family?”

Many parents responded that they are getting back to routines, but looking for some activities to share with their kiddos indoors. Some parents also had some thoughts or questions on expectations for their growing children this year.

Our teachers thought these questions gave us some great inspiration of some activities and goals to begin at home. Check out our ideas below!
