Summer at Sonnets

The Fun is Just Warming Up

Summer is a time for fun & sun, but that doesn’t mean learning has to stop! Sonnets is making the most of these warm months with engaging and meaningful activities, keeping us healthy and active all Summer long. From outdoor lesson plans to family events, June marked the beginning of a fun and enriching Summer of learning!

Our preschoolers out for another adventure on the playground: a fun space where children can express themselves while developing cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and imaginative skills.

Parks & Playscapes!

Each of our locations is soaking up the summer weather at their unique playscapes and nearby parks. Imaginative play in these awesome settings fuels the development of gross motor skills like agility, strength, coordination, and balance.

Taking the Classroom Outdoors

The excitement doesn’t end at the playground during nice weather. We had a blast in a different learning environment this month, developing our cognitive skills in the grass under the shade of trees.

Family Fun

Family engagement is a key component of child development at Sonnets — building positive, interactive relationships between staff & parents. This month, we welcomed our families to join us for Splash Days, Paint & Sip, Ice Cream Socials, Books in the Park, & Donuts with Dad. We are always looking forward to the next event with family & friends!

SONNETS ACADEMY’s PLAY-BASED CURRICULUM

Our early learning curriculum begins at early infancy and continues through prekindergarten, concentrating on the process through which children learn. Discovery-based play expands imagination, encourages sense of wonder and provides a diverse and comprehensive foundation for cognitive, social, emotional and creative growth that will shape their adolescence and adulthood.
