Quenching Our Thirst for Discovery
As Summer continues, Sonnets Academy is taking advantage of the opportunities to enjoy and explore the outdoors. Throughout July, we focused on curriculum themes such as Under the Sea, Vacations & Road Trips, Camping, & Outer Space to create as many hands-on discovery experiences as possible!
Will it sink?...Or will it float? Our toddlers are about to find out as they dive in to this play-based learning activity that combines the fun of science & water while splashing around with friends.
Hello Reptiles!
This month, one of our events brought quite the handful of VERY special visitors. JG’s Reptile Road Show had our friends up close & personal with some amazing animals! The show was exciting & educational, leaving our friends and families with an experience that will be hard to forget.
Yoga in the Park
Grab your mats & your hats…its time for yoga in the park! Whether we are practicing a pose or working on our breathing, yoga encourages children to clear their minds while honing motor skills — aiding in both cognitive and physical wellbeing. Namaste!
Camping Enthusiasts
Camping is a summertime staple and a huge hit when brought to life in the classroom. From solar s’mores & trail mix to life-sized tents & “fishing,” our classrooms were transformed into preschool campgrounds — a scene that taught us teamwork and a loving respect for nature.
SONNETS ACADEMY’s PLAY-BASED CURRICULUM
Our early learning curriculum begins at early infancy and continues through prekindergarten, concentrating on the process through which children learn.
