Fun with Friends

Collaborative Learning

An essential journey commences in the exciting years of early childhood: the exploration of social-emotional growth. At Sonnets Academy, we understand that this significant phase sets the stage for lifelong emotional well-being, resilience, and healthy relationships as children learn about themselves in relation to others. Through our play-based learning model, we create an environment that provides the freedom and reassurance needed to develop independence, while also providing a vibrant social setting that supports children in developing social skills as well as healthy emotional expression/regulation.

Two-year-old’s are embracing newfound independence, discovering their individuality and voice. They form their first friendships, maneuver the intricacies of sharing, and flourish in an environment that encourages positive communication, patience, and kindness.

B is for Bubble!

While toddlers are well on their way to social interaction, this age group engages mostly in parallel play — Bubbles are great way to encourage that interaction! We chased, we jumped, and we popped every last bubble in the park, while laughing right alongside all our toddler friends.

  • social interaction

  • problem solving skills

Mirror, Mirror…

Nurturing an infant’s self-awareness plays a big role in their overall social-emotional development. Mirror play fosters a baby’s natural attraction to faces, sparking curiosity about who that adorable person is looking back at them, and motivates them to practice & master many important infant milestones.
