We All Go Traveling By

The Joys of Exploring the World

Last month at Sonnets Academy, we embarked on a magical journey as we ignited wanderlust in young hearts and introduced them to the excitement of travel! Our imaginations transported us to diverse corners of the world, unraveling the wonders of different cultures, languages, and landscapes, including our own neighborhoods. Through hands-on activities, interactive storytelling, and engaging projects, our little travelers packed their suitcases and their creativity as they hit the road for adventure & discovery.

The fresh & invigorating fall air, sights, and sounds sparked joy in our infants this October. Taking full advantage of the fall weather, we experienced and soaked up the colors & sensations of the world around us.

Travel in a City

Transportation is an essential part of our everyday lives, connecting people and places in ways that help us navigate our world. This month we discovered different vehicles and methods used to move from one location to another. Pre-K played a game of Transportation I-Spy as they walked around finding unique ways to travel through their city, nurturing their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Matching Shapes

Our two-year-olds were busy stimulating their growing minds while on a quest to match shapes! They manipulated and interacted with various shapes, laying the foundation for:

  • problem-solving skills

  • fine motor & hand-eye coordination

  • cognitive & analytical skills

  • spatial awareness & critical thinking abilities

Spooktacular Fun

Our schools brewed with excitement this month! Creativity & imagination knew no bounds as we made memorable experiences through festive activities. From spooky crafts and sensory experiences to costume parades and pumpkin decorating, our families & friends joined us in enjoying the spooky season!

SONNETS ACADEMY’s PLAY-BASED CURRICULUM

Our early learning curriculum begins at early infancy and continues through prekindergarten, concentrating on the process through which children learn. Discovery-based play expands imagination, encourages sense of wonder and provides a diverse and comprehensive foundation for cognitive, social, emotional and creative growth that will shape their adolescence and adulthood.
